An artist pushing the boundaries of art
A short story about a young Jamaican surfer who came from nothing to now growing his career through surfing
Ryder is a filmmaker and videographer currently based in Costa Rica, available to work worldwide. He specializes in telling the stories of high level athletes and artists, bringing his own cinematic visual style and storytelling approach to every project.
He started creating videos at the age of 13 and quickly developed a passion for filmmaking and editing. At 14, he began training Jiu Jitsu, not knowing it would eventually shape the direction of his filmmaking career. What started as two separate passions naturally came together, leading him to work with some of the biggest names in the sport and making athlete documentaries the core focus of his work.
Over the years, Ryder has worked as a cinematographer, creative director, and editor across a wide range of projects, from documentaries and commercial brand films to music festivals, and retreats. While his experience spans multiple industries, his passion has always been capturing authentic stories through a lens.
He continues to grow as both a filmmaker and creative director, aiming to collaborate with world class athletes and brands to create films that stand out.
